People facing criminal charges need more than just a person to appear for them in court and take whatever the prosecutor gives them as a plea deal. They need an attorney not only with skill and experience, but the tenacity to fight for justice and their rights. The life altering consequences of a conviction demand it.
My name is Rose Feller and Feller Law, P.A. is a practice based upon those ideals. My mission is to work under the presumption of innocence, to aggressively protect your rights, and to facilitate a just resolution to your legal situation.
A native Floridian, I have dedicated my life to defending people who face the uncertainty and fear that criminal charges bring since 2001. From misdemeanors to felonies that carry a life sentence, I've worked every type of case. My extensive experience includes defending those accused of sex crimes, attempted murder, armed robbery, white collar crime... down to Driving while License Suspended and simple battery.
I graduated from St. Thomas University College of Law in 2000 and immediately began putting my passion for the law and people's rights into practice. Through the years I've been able successfully defended serious accusations of Armed Robbery, Armed Trafficking of Marijuana, Trafficking in Controlled Substances, Kidnapping, Sexual Battery, Juvenile Sexual Misconduct, Attempted Murder on a Law Enforcement Officer, Fleeing and Eluding, and many more throughout the State of Florida. All of these cases resulted in either no jail time or greatly reduced sentences from what the prosecutor was offering.
Through the years, I've continued to refine my approach to criminal defense. Feller Law is not a one-woman show, but employs a team of individuals who contribute their specialized skills and experience. Uncommon to most law firms, I utilize an experienced legal researcher to thoroughly investigate and explore potential defenses, no matter how arcane or unusual. Dedicated support staff provide prompt and informative communications for clients. And I bring my wealth of courtroom experience and tough negotiating to the table.
"Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere." - Martin Luther King
King's words are a great way to explain my passion and dedication to the law, and more importantly, the individual seeking its aid. An avid scholar since a young age, I've continued to those ways in specializing in legal research and writing. It's a true thrill for me to find that golden case precedent or novel legal analysis to aid Feller Law in bring justice to its clients.
My name is James Harper and I provide legal research and writing for Feller Law, P.A. While I have an intimate knowledge of Florida criminal law, I have done work in many areas of law and well versed in conducting research in any field.
As a college student, working in criminal defense was not my intended goal. I enjoy the great outdoors and have a passion for hiking, watersports, and untamed wilderness. I had planned to pursue a career in environmental law to protect the treasures I so greatly value. That was I wanted to seek justice. But life would take me in a different direction
I graduated from the University of Michigan in 2004 with honors and law school in 2008 cum laude. During law school I worked as a law clerk for the Environmental Protection Agency in Washington D.C. and Chicago. At the EPA, I participated in a case that resulted in the largest financial penalty for violations of the Clean Water Act when a coal company repeatedly polluted Appalachian waters, among other legal research and writing tasks. But a chance encounter with Attorney RoseMarie Feller took me into the area of criminal defense. It was there that I learned that I could assist in bringing justice in a different way; by contributing to the defense of those wrongly accused of crimes with my legal research and writing expertise. It was justice in a different form, but justice all the same.
Over the past several years, I've provided legal research and writing for cases that have led to numerous dismissal of criminal charges, removal from the sex offender registry, exoneration of charge upon appeal, significant money judgments for clients, and removal of criminal records from the public view. If there's a legal avenue to exploit, I'm going to find it.
I would like to be remembered as someone who used whatever talent she had to do her work to the very best of her ability." - Ruth Bader Ginsburg
My name is Danielle Merwin, and I'm proud to provide legal support in my role as Paralegal here at Feller Law. My passion for law started in high school when I was given frequent opportunities to visit courtrooms and see our legal process in action firsthand. My position at Feller Law allows me to combine my passion for law and my love for writing together to create the perfect blend.
I graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Legal Studies and a minor in Sports Business Management where I assisted in providing research for The Institute for Diversity and Ethics in Sport. In my years since graduating I've gained years of experience in family law, criminal law, and federal cases.
I love college football, a good cup of coffee, Disney days, running, and my English Bulldog, Major.
